I love entrepreneurship and marketing, which naturally pushed me towards study in the area, beginning with a degree in marketing at Namur, and after a few years experience in SME's and creating Universem, I obtained an MBA at Solvay Brussels School.

The challenge of creating and expanding a business. Every day is different and, motivated by the same belief, trying to improve things for the company, the team and our clients.

Your career - the short version?

I love entrepreneurship and start-ups, so I co-founded an e-commerce site while I was studying Computer Sciences at the University of Namur and then Management at Vlerick Business School, before launching Universem in 2010. Day after day, I help companies on their digital strategy and forge links between the teams and on our customers in my function of Partner & Project Director.

Your career - the short version?

I was introduced to the Internet during my very first years to understand and use its possibilities, among other by launching one of the first online betting platform in 1997 while the Internet was only becoming popular.

Having a strong interest in entrepreneurship, I co-founded with the Universem founding team an e-commerce webshop during my studies in IT at the University of Namur during which I've also co-founded the Entrepreneurship Youth Club of Namur. I then made a post-master in General Management at the Vlerick School before working during 2 years as a consultant in the banking sector at Callataÿ & Wouters in parallel with the founding of Universem.

What's the best thing about your profession?

As co-founder of Universem, Partner & Operations Director, I'm in charge of Finance, HR as well as internal organization of the company. Developping Universem is a great challenge combining two of my passions: Internet & Entrepreneurship.

It clearly is eclectic as I first graduated in Graphic Design from E.S.A Saint-Luc before complementing my curriculum with a Master Degree in history delivered by ULG. While pretty different, those two courses are complementary and well suited to digital marketing. Graphic design has given me a broad technical knowledge of the web and history awakened in me a real passion fro writing! I put both those abilities into practice every day at Universem!

I can't learn enough! The variety of the projects as well as working in a field that constantly evolves do both fulfill my natural curiosity.

After an internship realized during my master's degree in Management Sciences at the Louvain School of Management, I realized I wanted to start my career in digital marketing. That's why I decided to join Universem to evolve in the digital world.

During my studies, I had a growing interest in Digital Marketing, which has become a major challenge for companies nowadays. Once graduated with a Master's degree in Management Sciences from the University of Namur, it was quite naturally that I’ve decided to start my career in this sector and join the great Universem team!

Learning continuously as the environment in which we work is constantly evolving, helping clients to reach their goals, but also having the opportunity to be surrounded by colleagues who have an expertise in this field.

Your career - the short version?

Graduated with a Master in International Business, I was able to study and work in several countries during my studies. These experiences allowed me to acquire valuable skills in different sectors (automotive, fashion industry , luxury leather goods, hotels and electrical industry). After spending 2 years within the Peugeot Belgium subsidiary, and being passionate about marketing, it seemed obvious to me to deepen my knowledge in digital. This is the reason why I took the opportunity to join the team of Universem in September 2019!

Your career - the short version?

After a master’s degree in advertising & commercial communication at IHECS and a first experience in a creative agency, I occupied a position in a production company to then become an account manager in a saleshouse. These 10 years of diversified and complementary work experience made constantly grow my passion for the world of communication. Being particularly appealed by the digital sector, I chose to join the team of Universem in September 2019 to evolve in this medium in constant development.

After a Bachelor in Law and a Master in Finance & Management, I started my professional experience within the commercial department of a company in the retail sector. I then decided to take a new turn in the digital world within Universem.

I started in Digital Marketing as a Communication Manager for an organization active in training and consulting. Then worked for 7 years in the field of language stays and international exchanges. I held several positions: Community Manager, Sales Team Leader and then Marketing and Communication Manager. After that I was a Digital Expert in an international group in the hearing market.

In 2021, I joined Universem as a Digital Marketing Team Leader. Passionate about digital, people and customer relation, I give the best I can to reach the digital success of the Universem customers!

What's the best thing about your profession?

Digital Marketing is fascinating and in constant evolution. What I like the most is to see how a good digital strategy can serve the business goals, regardless of the size and digital maturity of the company. Opportunities in Digital Marketing evolve very fast and I like this a lot!

Your favourite indulgence?

Wine! I am passionate about oenology, a fascinating world, and an infinite field of knowledge. Tasting a good wine is a moment of sharing that I particularly appreciate. At the restaurant (another indulgence), I often open the wine list before I check the menu!

Your career - the short version?

After a Master in Marketing communication, and an internship in digital marketing which convinced me to pursue my career in that particular field, I had the opportunity to work for an advertiser in FMCG and then in a creative agency as Social Media & Digital Project Manager. I am now thrilled to deepen my skills in digital advertising at Universem !

What's the best thing about your profession?

The projects’ diversity and the ability to learn constantly. The opportunity to become a real expert and transmit my knowledge also really motivates me.

Your favourite indulgence?

I am not yet 100% “digitalized”: for me, nothing equals a good book and if I can enjoy it under the sun it’s even better! I can’t stop buying new books and my reading list is constantly growing!

Your career - the short version?

I graduated in Advertising and worked for over 8 years as a copywriter in a large web agency. This is how I discovered SEO, my professional favourite! In my position at Universem, I can focus more on this area and at the same time continue to practice my other favourite activity, copywriting.

What's the best thing about your profession?

Juggling with words to ensure that the content of my clients' websites is attractive to both Internet users and Google, continues to fascinate me. I also love the fact that I work in a sector that is constantly evolving, which allows me to learn more and more. The contact with the customer is also something I really enjoy.

Your favourite indulgence?

Food! Especially chocolate. But in general, enjoying a good meal in good company is one of my greatest pleasures in life. Furthermore, as an art lover, I can draw for hours.

Your career - the short version?

I started, in 2015, to work as an SEO copywriter for an e-commerce website. My passion for the digital world was born from this first work experience. Thanks to a training in SEO and UX Design, I was able to expand my knowledge even further.

After working for the last 4 years in a company with focus on digital marketing and lead generation, I decided to join the Universem team in 2021, with great enthusiasm.

Your career - the short version?

I graduated with a Master degree in International Business, focusing on Marketing. I did have the opportunity to gain experience in different countries before that. I worked in Germany for a digital travel agency specialized in ethical trips to South America. I also had the chance to work in Chile for some time, in an import-export company where I supervised a team in their launch of an e-commerce website. Different structures, but always with a focus on Marketing. Which is also the reason why I took the opportunity of joining Universem!

Your career - the short version?

My interest in communication and marketing started during my Post-Bachelor in Advanced Business Management. I wanted to further develop my knowledge and started with a master’s degree in Communication Sciences at KULeuven. Universem gave me the chance to put my academic insights into practice. I’m ready to kickstart my career.

The possibility to work with diverse customers with their own different needs and wishes. Besides that, I’m eager to learn and digital marketing is continuously evolving so you have the chance to evolve as well.

Your career - the short version?

Passionate about foreign languages and cultures, I studied languages at university, but by chance I started my professional career in human resources...and haven't left it for 16 years! I am married to a Breton man and the two of us are building a European family with two children of which I am very proud.

What's the best thing about your profession?

I love the diversity of my job: from the calculation of the payroll to the numerous contacts with colleagues, including recruitments, trainings, awareness of good practices... You learn all the time and you never get bored.

I love the concept of the aperitif: some chips or cheese and a small glass of bubbles or beer. Lovely! 😊

In 2008, I got the opportunity to get an education and that's how I ended up in the financial world as accounts payable at a multinational. After my move to Wallonia, I worked for a small SME. In 2021 I needed a new challenge and I discovered Universem via LinkedIn.

The diversity of the job: accounting, office management, ... the opportunity to further develop myself.

I love to play Brazilian percussion with a group of friends and I started running in 2019. My goal is to run a marathon by 2025.

I have always combined marketing and creativity. My career started in the media, followed by advertising to eventually combine these experiences at a higher level within Universem.

My passion for marketing brought me to HEC Liège for a Bachelor in Economics and Management followed by a Master in International Strategic Marketing, including an exchange program in the United States. After a first experience as a Community Manager, joining the Universem team seemed to me the best opportunity to deepen my skills in digital marketing!

Having a good dinner and good wine with my friends or my family, go shopping, travelling around the world and walking in the nature with my dog.

After my Master’s degree, I spent some months abroad alternating travelling and English courses. Afterwards, I joined the video department of a media agency for a bit more than 3 years. I first learned the offline and online video buying, and later I had the chance to extend my expertise to the programmatic video buying. I joined Universem as I wanted to broaden my scope to the whole digital world!

What's the best thing about your profession?

I like the role of a consultant: to provide an expert recommendation and to put it into practice to reach the client’s goals. Finally, to get some learnings that allow to further develop their media strategy and to evolve with the times.

I like to travel, to paint and to spend time with my friends and family! Otherwise my guilty pleasure is… aperitif! Couldn’t we say: “An aperitif a day keeps the doctor away?” 😊

After my studies in communication and a Master's degree in Advertising at IHECS, I worked two years as a Marketing Coordinator for a company specialized in promotional products. Then, I wanted to improve my knowledge in digital marketing and that's why I chose to work at Universem.

Backpacking. I had the opportunity to go (and travel) to South America for 8 months during my Erasmus and since then I love discovering new landscapes, new cultures, etc.

I have been immersed in advertising since my earliest childhood thanks to my parents. After studying Marketing, I developed a particular interest in digital marketing which offers always greater opportunities for companies. I therefore first joined a media agency to develop my expertise in digital campaign management for more than 2 years before joining Universem with whom I can broaden my vision.

Your career - the short version?

With a background in journalism and marketing, I have held positions such as digital manager, editor in chief, project manager, head of marketing, and general manager. My preference has always been for discovery and novelty, and I have never done the same job twice. By doing so, I am able to constantly feed my skills and maintain a certain freshness with time 😊

What's the best thing about your profession?

Continually evolving. Digital marketing, in particular, evolves with society, technology, and new challenges. It's exciting to never settle and continue to learn.

Your favourite indulgence?

I discovered cycling as a sport about 5 years ago and the more I practice, the more I enjoy it. Whether it's on the road or recently the Gravel which is an incredible innovation.
When I'm not on my bike, I'm a big fan of aperitifs around good local beers or nice wines. I'm very greedy 😊.

After 9 years in tourism, I wanted to give my career a new turn by training in digital marketing, a field in which I have a growing interest due to its many opportunities.
Universem offered me the opportunity to deepen my newly acquired knowledge after having completed two years of training and a four-month internship.

As a member of a team of experienced colleagues who share my passion, I am able to grow and evolve in an industry where everything is constantly changing. The fact that it takes me out of my comfort zone is exactly what makes it so exciting for me.

Your career - the short version?

After studying marketing, it was in the cosmetics sector that I was able to put my knowledge into action. Since I was alone in the marketing department, I touched a bit on everything and learned a lot on my own.

I like the fact that it’s a sector in constant evolution, that things are moving, I find it challenging. It's also a job where I can combine both my rational side and my creative side.
